On Saturday, September 5, three Key Club members got up bright and early to participate in the Turlock Gospel Mission's Labor of Love Walk/Run. "It was early, but refreshing," Vice President Carlos Iniguez recalls. The run took place at Donnelley Park in Turlock and participants could choose if they wanted to run a 3k or a 5k. The proceeds from the event supported Turlock Gospel Mission's cause, which is to provide the homeless and hurting with shelter and services. Along with raising money, this event was successful in providing a family-friendly environment and emphasizing healthiness. Shayan Niakan and William Anderson both had a great time; they are avid runners on Turlock High School's cross country team and passionate for serving their community. It was a win-win for these Key Clubbers!
